Description

This is an enhanced learning session and is not eligible for continuing education credits. This session takes an in depth look at the sales process from preparation for a customer encounter to closing the sale. All steps to this process will be laid out and discussed in detail. This is a great session for a new and/or experienced salesperson. Each area of the process is discussed with real life examples and techniques that salespeople can begin use immediately to achieve the goal of turning shoppers into buyers.

Christopher Contreras is the Vice President of Operations at M/I Homes in the Twin Cities Division. In this position Christopher is responsible for Sales, Marketing, Architecture, Design Center, and Closings. Improving the customer experience is the primary focus of Christopher’s’ day to day activities. A student of the sales process, Christopher began his sales career in the retail jewelry environment. His success rewarded him with promotions to a District Sales Manager, overseeing 13 stores and over 100 employees. Transferring his sales skills in the homebuilding industry allowed Christopher to advance his career quickly to Vice President of Sales & Marketing before joining M/I Homes. Today Christopher’s passion is providing a better home buying and better home building experience. He understands that this goal can only be reached by surrounding himself with the very best people in the homebuilding industry.

Communication between all stakeholders is the key to achieving his professional goals. Setting proper expectations and then delivering on those commitments is what has taken M/I Homes in the Twin Cities from the #10 builder to the #3 builder in just five years.
