The How and Why of Exterior Insulation

This course will focus on why energy codes continue to push exterior insulation as the next step in making buildings more energy efficient. The building science behind adding insulation to the exterior and how it can be practically achieved will be discussed.

• Review of Air Barrier issues
• Discussion of vapor management
• Overview or Exterior foam options
• Discussion on installation options
