Description

Even many normal homes have severe problems during weather extremes; a wet summer, a cold winter, a snowy winter, a snowy cold winter. In other homes, a problem appears when something changed; added a furnace humidifier, a lawn sprinkler system, a set-back thermostat, or insulated the attic. Sometimes the problem is obvious, other times it is more subtle. This room is cold is colder than the others. Learn about what tools and techniques and building science are used to troubleshoot a variety of issues in homes.

The Energy Conservatory


Paul Morin worked for 15 years as a carpenter framing new homes before becoming a weatherization auditor in the early 90’s. He worked for more than 12 years for the Center for Energy and Environment diagnosing building shell, combustion spillage, and moisture problems in single family and multifamily buildings. Paul has worked for The Energy Conservatory since 2009 providing technical support and has developed dozens of presentations and webinars and is actively involved with the Minnesota Building Performance Association.
