Description

The Minnesota Contractor Pre-License Exam Course will prepare you as you study for Minnesota Contractor License Exam. This course covers construction and building codes, administration and legal aspects and is taught by a former building official and Minnesota buildings codes expert. The course includes the latest 2020 Minnesota Residential Code and the latest Minnesota statutes which will both be referenced in the exam. In addition to the training video, the registration fee also includes a guidebook for following the course video, 2020 Minnesota Residential Code book (a $110 value) and a Minnesota Statutes reference guide, more than 170 practice questions, and almost 400 construction terms. Combined, you will not only find the information you need to study for the course, but the knowledge of where to find the answers.  Please allocate time for printed training materials to be mailed to you.

Note: Though this course provides useful and practical information to study and prepare for the Minnesota contractor license exam, for those who already have their contractor license, this course is not eligible for continuing education credits. Minnesota statute 326B.0981 states "courses designed solely to prepare students for a license examination" are not eligible for CE credits. We estimate that it will take six to eight hours to complete the course as you will be stopping the video and looking up the referenced codes and statutes multiple times. Understanding the course content and becoming familiar with the 2020 MN Residential Code Book are important in preparation for the Minnesota Contractor License Exam.
