About Contractor University

Contractor University provides continuing education courses to Minnesota contractors, building officials, and Realtors, plus Wisconsin contractors. Launched by Housing First Minnesota in 2004, Contractor University has been providing continuing education training for more than 15 years. Courses through Contractor University are open to all. Discounts are available for Housing First Minnesota members.

To provide timely and relevant information to contractors and suppliers so that they may meet their continuing education requirements and develop and apply the knowledge, skills, and values to provide the highest quality of service to their clients.

Contractor University is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and offers IACET CEUs for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard.  IACET is recognized internationally as a standard development organization and accrediting body that promotes quality of continuing education and training.

IACET only allows the best to join their Accredited Providers status, so you can feel confident knowing Contractor University is providing you with the best builder continuing education. IACET’s rigorous accreditation process includes:

  • Internal evaluations by an organization team
  • Passing an initial review by the IACET Commission
  • A visit/inspection by IACET
  • Final approval by IACET officials
